Betz Golden here from Scrappy Cafe. Watercolor always produces the most beautiful results. However, the mess can be daunting. Aqua Flow Pens are a wonderful alternative to traditional watercolor. I created a lovely leaf panel using the image from the October Hedgehog Hollow box and Aqua Flow pens.
Tonic & Hedgehog Hollow provided me with some items for this post but all projects and opinions are my own
Here is a short tutorial on how to use these pens along with a few helpful tips :
This is a wonderful medium because it is water-based. It is easy to lay out some color, mist it with water and make it move. The results are impressive and beautiful. Blending is easy with Aqua Pens because they are water-based. The pigment is beautiful and strong! When working with the pens, if you notice the results are to dark simply take a paper towel and lay it over the image. When you remove it some of the pigment will be lifted leaving a gorgeous blended effect. Top it off with the Glitter Gloss for some sparkle and spray with hairspray to keep it from transferring.
