This is Teresa from Whimsical Card Studio and I am very excited to be guest designing for The Hedgehog Hollow using the April 2019 kit. Since I happen to be a fan of Art Impression stamps, I really like what came in this kit, including the gold Nuvo brush marker and ink pad. I created a video tutorial to show you step-by-step how to re-create this card.
I created my first card using the exclusive art impressions stamp set and die it has an adorable birdhouse and coordinating dies I also used the hybrid black ink pad included in the kit to stamp the images onto Neenah solar white cardstock. I then colored all the stamp images using Copic markers and then die cut them with the coordinating dies. The birdhouse die also cuts out the windows as well is a door that opens and shuts.
I took the blue piece of paper that came in the kit, trimmed off ½” from each side to make a smaller panel, in layered the blue paper on a card base included in the kit. Next, I glued the birdhouse down on top of the blue panel after adding dimensional double sided foam adhesive dots behind the birdhouse.
I placed the bird diecuts all around the birdhouse including putting some of the birds onto the little bars that stick out and then I placed one inside of the door on the birdhouse. Separately I die cut all the branches out of the green paper included with the kit. I also die cut before largest flower dies out of the pink paper and then I die cut the smallest flower dies out of the yellow paper. I glued the yellow flowers directly on top of the pink ones to create a multilayered flower.
For this sentiment, I stamped on the smooth side of the yellow card stock then trimmed around the edges. I layered that on top of another piece of pink card stock and trimmed so there was just a little bit of a frame around the yellow card stock. I glued that down to the bottom right hand side without going outside where the blue paper is.
Thanks so much for taking the time take a look. I will have another post on April 30th with a second card I made from this kit – see you then!
