I have two quick cards to share with you using the August Hedgehog Hollow box. I LOVE this box! The stamp sets are divine and there are 2 sets of layering stencils. It’s just packed with value!
I used the apple layering stencil to create my first card and this took less than 10 minutes to create.
I used Vintage Photo distress oxide ink to stencil the branch. Next I added the apple using the Telephone Box red Color Hive ink. I tried to keep the right side of the apple a little darker than the left.
Isn’t that red amazing? I think that color is a stunner!
The leaves use the new Everglades Color Hive ink. Again, it’s an amazing color!
The sentiment is one of the words in the large background stamp. I just stamped that image once in Eclipse Black ink and now I have several sentiments or phrases that I can cut apart and use for titles on my traveler’s notebook layouts throughout the fall.
I used some of the fabulous Red Rebellion paper that we got in a past kit to create a nice border between the card top and the card base. You can also see that I used 3 crown jewel gems on each card to finish them off!
Did you fall in love with this stamp as soon as you saw it? I know I did! I couldn’t resist creating a card using it today!
You will notice that I kept my coloring quick and easy. I used two shades of each color of marker for the leaves and only 4 colors for the cup. You can see all the details of how I did that in my video below.
I added the two small leaf images above the cup. Don’t you love when stamp sets have these little filler stamps? They always add a nice touch to a card.
To finish off this card, I used the splatter stamp style #2 with some Vintage Photo ink to add my finishing touch!

Have a wonderful day!
