Hey friends! It’s Jess I am thrilled to be back on The Hedgehog Hollow blog for the first post of 2020! Hooray for the new year! I’m excited to get into these Valentine’s Day cards, and I’ve got another one to share with you today. Today we’re creating a super quick and easy card that will make you look like an artist! The new January box is packed full of gorgeous stamps that will have you cranking out cards left and right.
To start, I grabbed the large watercolor stamp from To The Moon & Back. This set might be my favorite, but I can’t decide! I grabbed my Mini MISTI and used Distress Inks in Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberry on my stamp. I love how easy it is to make a gradient effect this way!
I smooshed a little of the Picked Raspberry Distress Ink onto an acrylic block and spritzed it with water. Using a paintbrush, I flicked the ink on to my card panel and then set it aside to dry.
Once my panel was dry, I grabbed the gorgeous graphic sentiment, ‘I love you to the moon and back,’ and stamped it in Black Hybrid Ink from Scrapbook.com. I mounted my card panel on a black A2 sized card base, and that is it, you guys! This card came together so quickly, but I think it’s such a gorgeous card for Valentine’s Day – or really, any time of year!
