Hello, Kari here today. Have you ever wondered just what you can do with those chipboard pieces in the June 2020 Hedgehog Hollow Kit?! Well, wonder no more because today I have 3 ways to use those chipboard pieces to make eye-catching cards!

The first way is to use them as a sort of stencil to use sprays on your card front. Use a glue that dries tacky on the back of the chipboard first. Allow the glue to completely dry. Then, tack it to the cardstock before using your sprays. This will keep them lightly adhered to the cardstock so they don’t blow around when you spray!

Watch my video below or in HD on YouTube to see how to do this and see the other 2 ways I like to use chipboard:

The second way is to use acrylic paints to give the chipboard some color and interest. Here I used chalk acrylics and layered up three colors to make them pop!

The third way is to use embossing powder to get a metallic decoration! I love this look. I used three different embossing powders and layered up the “metallic” chipboard on this card:

I had so much fun with these techniques, that I ended up using ALL the chipboard in the kit in one morning! I really love these chipboard pieces this month.

I hope this gave you some inspiration for using the chipboard pieces, too. I’ll be back soon with more inspiration from the June kit!
