Hi Hollowers!
Welcome to another full cardmaking tutorial here at the Hollow. A few weeks ago Honey Bee had a beautiful ocean themed release, you can see my project here. We each got a few sneak peak items for launch projects, but as soon as I saw Zen Ocean my creative juices were flowing and I knew I NEEDED IT NOW! Do you ever see a stamp set like that? As soon as I could I hit that buy button it was mine! It’s pretty big at a smidge under 6″ across but very versatile. I have so many ideas and I know that you all different ways to use the same stamps for completely different looks, so I am calling this 3 weeks – 3 ways; I am going to use the same stamp for the next three Honey Bee Saturday Stamping features, but we will end up with 3 very different cards and lots of cardmkaing techniques included! This week we are using a section of the stamp for a curved fronted card, we will add some pretty shadow stamping on the inside that is light enough for a sentiment and you message over the top, take a look…
I am so happy with the results, the image is watercolored with metallic paints; you could easily make this card in less than 30 minutes and it really comes out as a very special gift. Of course our Honey Bee feature would not be complete without a video! So here is a step by step walkthrough of the complete process, I tried to include the painting but speed it up so you can see how I approach a large complex image, lots more cardmaking techniques also included…
I hope you really want to make one in your own colors too, here is a supply list for you to recreate the card…
Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed the project and I’m super excited to show you next week’s idea, it looks like a completely different stamp! Join me again for lots of cardmkaing ideas this week; on Tuesday I am with The Crafters Workshop, on Thursday with CrafTangles and maybe a few more ideas and reviews too!
Happy Stamping!
