Hey everyone, it’s Julianne here and today I’m going to be showing you this bee inspired card using a few of the products from the August 2020 box. I’m going to be showing you how I created this fading ink blending background using the layering honeycomb stencil along with some Distress Oxide Inks.

BEE INSPIRED CARD WITH JULIANNE

I started out by working on my background. Since I did use the stencil that has the thinner lines, I wanted to make sure that it wasn’t going to move as I was working. So, I added a little bit of Pixie Spray behind the stencil before laying it over my background panel.

I started out by using Squeezed Lemonade. I’m going to do most of my blending on the left side of my panel, then fading it out towards the right of my card. Once I have the Squeezed Lemonade down, I’m going to go in with my medium scene of Mustard Seed. Then finally, my darkest color of Carved Pumpkin.

I’m going to be using the cute bee with the flower in the Busy Bee Stamp Set. Then, I’m going to be coloring it in using Copic markers in some of my favorite colors.
