Hi Hollowers!

Today I have a post I have written over the two days I was at Simon Says Create, I was unable to get a ticket in time but I shopped til I dropped and made lots of create it, take its! It was such an amazing event, the Simon Says Stamp team made me feel so welcome, I was in crafting heaven! Today I am going to share a quick round up with some snaps from my iPhone, later in the week I will have the full low down and lots of pictures that Greg took for us!  I couldn’t wait until the professional ones were done, so please excuse my quick snaps!  I might be a little biased but this was an amazing event, next year I know I will be trying my best to grab a ticket early!

Let’s start with Friday….I could only attend for a few hours in the morning, but my wish list was looooooong and I wasn’t going to risk them running out! Here’s a snap from the shop as I arrived…

It was so nice to meet so many Hollowers! Lot’s of you said Hi on both days and it’s great to put a face to a name! More on that in a moment, first of all I met the wonderful Stephanie Barnard!

She had some of the new 2017 CHA Sizzix releases, as well as some unreleased dies….

What a wonderfully friendly lady surrounding by a great team from Sizzix! I love this new set of dies from their CHA release that we used for the make and take…

I was a total fan girl on Friday too! I met Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner, Tilly was of course a hit!

I also managed to squeeze in another more make and take with Newtons Nook.  Wow! What an intense two and a half hours, that was no where near enough so a quick call to Greg and he agreed to come back on Saturday and take some of his amazing photos of all the sights! Oh I nearly forgot, did you see Heidi and I on Facebook live on Friday? This was Heidi’s first live, so thrilled to say she debuted on Hedgehog Hollow! Be sure to check out our facebook page!

It was a very early start Saturday morning (Greg tells me 6am on a Saturday should be illegal!), it poured with rain but nothing could dampen my spirits! We arrived by 10.30 and Heidi gave me some amazing giveaways, I split them between those of who found me there and those watching at home….you can still enter the giveaway until midnight tonight EST (April 30th), jump over to our facebook page and leave a comment on Saturday’s facebook live!  There’s a great tour in the video, we walk through the shop, talk to Stephanie Barnard, show you both make it take it rooms, we also meet Concord & 9th and Sugar Pea Designs, who also had some unreleased products there for you!  I must say a HUGE thank you to Heidi for the access and to Chelsey for Tilly watching while we did our live video. Having spent the weekend with them Simon’s staff really do make the whole experience so much better, they have a great team and putting a face to the name on the email was great, we also bought some yummy donuts to thank them for all their support of Hedgehog Hollow and treating us like family.  I tried to do lots of make and takes again which I will have more pictures of later in the week.  However, the highlight for me was getting to watch Tim Holtz talk about Distress Oxides, I learned so much! My wish list grew another foot at least!!  Tim was gracious enough to let me record this session to share with you, we went live on the Facebook page with a MEGA amount of views!  It is still posted on our facebook page so grab a pot of tea and settle in for a great hours viewing!

As I write this we are driving home (Greg’s driving), I am so tired but it was so worth it, I learned so much and met so many great people which really was the best part, I love this photo Shelly took of the two of us, I have to say for 30 seconds I felt like a movie star when she asked for a pic!

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you will enjoy all the videos we have over on Facebook, also check out #SimonSaysCreate on instagram for everyone’s photos form the event, or if you attend make sure you add you pictures over there too and tag @HedgehogHollow so we can see them too, we love to repost your pictures too!  This was my first year at Simon Says Create and i’m already counting down to next year, I may be a little biased but the Simon Says family is a great one, their selection in unparalleled and the amount of SSS sets I bought to video, I may need to craft 24/7 for at least a year!

Join us tomorrow for an update on my 21 day fix and this weeks shake recipe.  I shall be back later in the week with more pictures, make and takes, fun stories as well as our Misti Corners Lesson 1 using some Neat and Tangled products and the lovely Distress Oxides, including my signature barber blending brushes!

Happy Stamping!
