Have you ever sat down to make a card and come up totally blank?  No ideas.  Nothing seems to work together.  It happens to me all the time.  And it totally stinks.  I was not feeling very creative when I sat down to make this card.  I struggled with it all day… until I read through the sentiments again from the October Hedgehog Hollow kit.  “Wrapped for you” stuck out to me and just screamed for me to create a card using that sentiment.

All of the products used are linked at the bottom of this post.

I knew the sentiment had to be the main focus of this cute and simple card.  The October kit includes two other stamp sets besides the sentiment stamps.  One set has this cute chimney, wrapped packages, flying reindeer (from a distance), and a trail.

I stamped the chimney, packages, and reindeer on Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock and used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the images with a little white boarder around them.

Then I Copic colored my images using R59, R39, R29, R27, G09, G07, B00, C7, C5, C3, E29, E27, and 0.

The patterned paper in the background is from Lawn Fawn’s 2018 winter collection.  I used a stitched rectangle frame to trim it down.

Using my MISTI I stamped the reindeer image several times in black ink to make sure it was good and dark but it didn’t really stand out enough.  This is one reason I love my MISTI!  I stamped the reindeer image once more using Versamark ink.  I poured on the clear embossing powder and melted it with my heat tool. That’s when I knew this card was going to be super cute. 🙂

Next, I determined approximately where the end of the swooshy dotted trail stamp would end at the top of the chimney image.  I just laid the cut out chimney image on the card front and marked it with a pencil just under the top edge.

I used my antistatic powder bag (I used it the first time too) in the middle of the panel.  Then I stamped in Versamark ink, poured silver embossing power over the image, and melted it with my heat tool.

The chimney is popped up with some foam tape and gifts are glued just under the edge of the chimney.

Lastly, I used bright red embossing powder for the sentiment.

But it was still missing something.  IT NEEDED GLITTER!  Now I don’t know about you but I get glitter EVERYWHERE when I use it so I’m very thankful for Stickles.  I added Stardust Stickles to all of the snow on the chimney and that’s exactly what was needed.  Now, I have this cute card that looks like Santa is magically delivering gifts that are “Wrapped for You”.
