Hi there crafty friends! It’s Jen S here today closing out the month with two quick cards using the ephemera from the August Hedgehog Hollow Box.
The first card was cut to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ using a piece of Hammermill cardstock. A wood grain piece of pattern paper was adhered to this cardstock using double sided adhesive. An orange gingham piece of pattern paper was cut with scalloped/square die. Last, white cardstock was used to cut out a scalloped frame. To tone done this white frame, Antique Linen Distress ink was drug over the frame to add color. This ink was also drug over the lines of the wood grain pattern paper. The frame was then adhered to the wood grain pattern paper.
I then adhered several of the floral ephemera pieces to the die cut frame. Next, foam was added to the “Morning Pumpkin” mug ephemera and this was adhered to the card as well. Fore some frosty goodness, Sparkle Star Twinkles were added to the froth in the mug, I finished off by adding a few enamel dots.
To start, I cut a piece of Hammermill cardstock to 4 ¼ x 5 ½. Using the fall background layering stencil, I blended the colors Orange Peel, Mint to Be and Twilight through the different layers. The Twilight ink was also used to create splatter to the background. To do this, the ink pad was swiped on the craft mat and spritzed with water. A paintbrush was then dipped into the watered down ink and tapped over the card panel to create splatter.
Next, I trimmed the white border off of the pumpkin ephemera and adhered it to the card panel. I added foam to the back of the ephemera piece “Happy Fall” and adhered to the center of the card. A few embellishments were then added to the finished card.
I hope you create something today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
