Alcohol ink techniques are a fun and vibrant way to add loads of color to images. Grab your Alcohol Pearls and let’s play with The Hedgehog Hollow September 2019 subscription kit.
YouTube Tutorial | Alcohol Ink Techniques
This video demonstrates alcohol ink techniques, including creating the panels and best practice for stamping and embossing on alcohol ink.
September 2019 Subscription Kit
I have a preview of The Hedgehog Hollow September 2019 Subscription box in the video. The September kit contains FIVE stamp sets. This month’s theme is peacocks and peacock feathers.
Included in the kit are stamps for borders, corners, focal points, sentiments, and envelope seals!
Alcohol Ink & Alcohol Pearls
All the details for the alcohol ink techniques are in the video so I won’t recap those here. However, I do want to share specific colors. Also, let me say, Alcohol Pearls are the bomb! I could watch them swirl all day!

Additional Card Elements
I wanted to incorporate an additional black design element into the card above. Hence, I pulled this DIY printed vellum from my scrap stash and fussy cut a strip of hexagons and individual hexagons.
Read my DIY Pattern Paper post to learn how to print on your own vellum.
In order to balance the peacock, I needed a bold sentiment on the right side of the card.
I dug through my stash and grabbed “never lose” from Altenew Mega Greetings 4 Stamp Set and die cut “YOU” with Altenew Fine Alphabet Dies.
