Hi there,
It’s Karen sharing an Always Mixed Media Tag that I created with the February HH Kit. This tag came together very quickly with some really fun products that I coordinated with the kit. I used a manila tag, Nuvo Shimmer Powders, flowers, leaves, pearl pins, gesso, and dyed ribbon. Take a peek at my tutorial below.
I began this project by applying Nuvo Shimmer Powders to a glass mat. I sprayed water on the Shimmer Powders and laid my manila tag on top of the glass mat to ink it with the powder mixture. Then I heat set the tag to dry.
Next, I stamped the floral heart from the February HH kit twice onto the inked tag with black ink and heat set the tag to dry.
I then distressed the edges of the tag with vintage photo ink. This distressing element gave this tag a subtle aged effect.
I then added flowers and leaves to the tag.
Next, I added pearl pins and clear pebbles to the tag.
I then added a worded die cut on top of the flowers.
Next, I added the dyed ribbon and dyed ribbon bows to the tag.
Lastly, I tapped on some gesso to enhance the overall design.
I loved the end result of this tag. The stamp from the February kit that I used had a vintage quality itself, so it was absolutely perfect for the color choices of the Shimmer Powders and the distress ink.
Thanks for visiting today!
