Hi, it’s Kari here today with an Art Journal Page AND a matching card. When I saw the clear mini binder that came in the January kit, I knew it would be perfect for an Art Journal Page! But I couldn’t resist making a card as well.

See that background? That is made from an old dictionary that my Dad gave to me especially for making cards and projects! It was so fun to use it. I do have a video up on how I made these, however, I must warn you that it IS a bit emotional. You see, my Dad passed away the day after Christmas and this card is dedicated to him. I share the story of his passing and my feelings a little. So if you don’t want to hear that, then please DON’T watch this video. But if you don’t mind that part of it, then I have linked the video below:

As a memorial for my Dad, I am making 74 bear cards (one for each year he lived on Earth), so now I only have 72 left to make! Isn’t that bear adorable?! It’s from the December 2020 kit.

For the art journal page, I used the “Bookmark” stamp and cut out all the books and some of the sentiment to use on the page.

I love that these kits come with a large variety of items!! That clear binder was just the push I needed to get my Art Journaling going again. This is the start of my book for 2021.

I hope this inspired you to create something today. Have a very happy and healthy new year!

Kari V.
