Hi Hollowers,

Thanks for stopping by today, no shake recipe today as I have some great news!  I have so much going on behind the scenes that I get so excited when I can finally share things with you, today is one of those days.  A month or so ago I was invited to be part of the artistic inspirations blog team and today is my first post.  Today’s post was sponsored by paper nest dolls, and I chose aristocrat Owen; if you have been following me for a while you will know my love of Magnolia stamps and her Tilda and Edwin characters; these dolls are very similar and as soon as I saw this stamp I knew i had to have it as it reminded me of Greg in his top hat on our wedding day!  First of all here is my card…

It is our wedding anniversary on June 26th so I may have to give Greg this card as well as a secretly made one because it was so apt, I may even frame it for his desk at work.  This was him on our wedding day…

See the resemblance?! I was so upset that I needed him to photograph this card as i would love to have saved it! I have never used a paper nest stamp before, they have digi and red rubber stamps; I bought a red rubber one as I am still not a big fan of digi stamps, it was very high quality and stamped beautifully.  The background scene is one I have had for years for my magnolia stamps, it is from a company called Alota who it would seem sadly is going out of business but it was perfect for this card.  I stamped it all in my favorite MFT Hybrid black, I colored him and the scene using my Zig Markers in the following colors: 220, 069, 066, 303, 302, 064, 067,, 010, 095, 060, 097, 022, 028, ,024, 020, 071.  I colored him in and them water-colored over the top to soften the blends and add some depth to him.  I also found a great deal on zig pens on amazon:

I hope you love my Owen as much as I do, the sentiment was from a SSS set called love.  I hope you will join in the challenge too and visit all the girls I am working with, click here to hop on over.  Tomorrow I will be back with another great announcement, stay tuned on Facebook and @HedgehogHollow on Instagram for an advanced screening!!  Normal service shall be resumed next Monday!

Happy Stamping!
