Hello! It’s Jill from Jill Cameron Creations here to share a clean and simple card with you today. I was digging around in my dies and found an edge die that I hadn’t used in a while and thought it would pair perfectly with stamps from the June kit from The Hedgehog Hollow.
Be Unique Clean and Simple Card
This card is a really quick card to put together. The patterned papers included in the kit made it so easy.
First, I stamped and colored the leaf image from the Geo Zoo stamp set. I stamped it in Copic friendly ink and then colored a rainbow across the leaf with Copic markers.
Then, I fussy cut the leaf image. Don’t forget to use a black water-based marker on the edge of your fussy cut images. It gives the image a more finished appearance.
Next, I trimmed down a piece of the patterned paper included in the kit to the width of the card. Then I used the edge die to trim it to the length I wanted. I also used the edge die to cut a piece of silver mirror cardstock.
I glued the silver mirror cardstock behind the patterned paper and then popped up both pieces on a black cardstock panel.
I heat embossed a sentiment from the add-on stamp set in white embossing powder. It’s a little crooked but that’s okay. When you’re using white embossing powder on black cardstock be sure you use plenty of anti-static powder on the cardstock. Use a soft towel to buff away the powder after you melt the embossing powder.
Finally, I glued the leaf image to the patterned paper. I didn’t add anything else to this card because I wanted the leaf image to be unique on the card and really stand out. I hope you’ve enjoyed this card today! Don’t forget to grab your kit from the shop today!
