Hello again! Today I have a bright and cheerful card to share using the stamp set from the February Hedgehog Hollow Kit. I needed a little cheeriness today so I started out with some rainbow colors of distress ink…that’s always a great place to start!

I used a finger dauber to ink up some die cut hexagons I had lying around. These are the pieces you would normally throw away, but they worked perfect for this project! I used Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Orange Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers, Shaded Lilac, and Wilted Violet. Wow…those colors were already working to bring a smile to my face! Here’s my card:

I adhered these to the bottom of my card using one of my favorite tricks: I put all the hexagons in the die and used Glad Press N Seal to pick up the entire panel. Then I added glue to the rainbow of hexagons and attached it to the card panel. I let it dry for a few minutes before removing the die…leaving only the perfectly placed colorful hexagons.

I stamped the little bee trails from the stamp set in the kit and popped up those cute bees with Scotch 3M foam tape. The sentiment “Bee happy” is perfect for this happy card.

I used the honeycomb small stamp to make a hexagon border on the lower layer. I used craft foam between the two layers to add some dimension to the card.

I hope this card made you smile today and gave you some more inspiration for the February Kit. See you next time!
