Hi Hollowers,

Thank you for all the wonderful comments about my deck project, it really was fun and I love tackling these extra projects! I’ll be sharing more of them here too, perhaps you have a project at home you’ve been wanting to tackle and need some tips? Leave me a comment if there’s a space you’d like to see me tackle.  Today I am going to show you how I up cycled some really inexpensive furniture.  I was on a tight budget for this project, I have less than $500 to do everything which was a real challenge as I wanted a WOW! space.  But it can be done and this space came in under budget! Fist of all I found these pieces on a combination of Facebook marketplace and our local scrapyard or treasure chest depending on how you look at it, I love a Friday afternoon stroll around Givits; its an amazing place and you never know what you will find!

This post is sponsored by Wagner but all thoughts, opinions and ideas are my own

I found three pieces in total all in brown which idd not fit the style, but the wicker was perfect, again I used Sherwin Williams paint and to answer yesterday questions I did not have to water down the paint at all.  Wagner also sent me this tent, I was so glad I had it for the tent, it was perfect for the overspray and great to contain everything, I wish I had two but I ended up getting parts of the lawn black as I was impatient (can you believe it, lol).  There were plenty of giggles getting it up the first time, but now I know how it would be easy to get it up again.

Again, the spraying process is very easy and the sprayer makes it so easier and so much easier than a brush or roller, I could get in-between all the wicker and in all the nooks and crannies, I was so glad I had it or this would have taken FOREVER! Upcycling furniture or a quick color change is a great way to refresh an old piece or a new to you item.  In this series I will show you this applies not just to furniture. I was using the Wagner FLEXiO 3000.

Look at how my upcycling went…

Now they look like new (well nearly with some new cushions), the black gives them a nice modern look.  Here’s today’s video diary…

Here’s a list of everything I used today:

See you again tomorrow with more of this process, if you have any questions be sure to drop them in the comments below.

Happy Crafting!
