Hello! It’s Kari here today sharing a Cat With a Hat Ephemera Card. Have you seen the new February Kit yet? It is filled with all kinds of inspiring pet themed supplies: paper, stencils, stamps, AND ephemera! This is the first time I remember seeing ephemera in a Hedgehog Hollow Kit, and I was so excited to make a card using one of the images.

This is a very easy card to make, and sometimes we need easy cards, right?!
First, I took a piece of the black and white paper from the kit and cut it to an A2 sized card panel (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″). This paper is so awesome: it is toner paper so you can FOIL it, you can ink blend on it, or you can leave it as is in black and white.

Today, I chose to ink blend the paper using 3 Distress Inks: Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers, and Speckled Egg.
I used an ergonomic blending brush so this inking was SUPER FAST!

Next, I white heat embossed the stamp “LOVE” on some beautiful blue paper. This paper is new from Maker Forte and it’s a bright, beautiful blue that matches the Blueprint Sketch ink. I glued this down to the inked panel with liquid adhesive.

Last, I chose a cute cat with a hat from the ephemera pack and popped it up on the panel with foam tape. I glued the entire panel to a heavy-weight card base and that’s it!

A cute and simple card, ready to bring a smile to someone’s face!
