Hey friends! It’s Jess from A Card Day’s Work. I’m excited to be sharing a clean and simple puppy card using the July subscription box. Let’s jump right in!

If you’re interested in seeing how the card came together, be sure to check out the video below or HERE on YouTube!

I started off by doing a little bit of masking. I stamped the adorable pug image holding the heart in the center of my card panel. Then I stamped a second copy of the same image on a piece of full sticky back post it. I cut this out and placed it over my stamped image on my card panel. This allows me to ink blend right over top without ruining my image.

The next thing I did was to start on some ink blending with my Distress Oxide inks. I chose Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberry since they blend so well together. I masked off the bottom of my card and used the stencil with my inks to blend on the color. I added a little Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle.

I colored up the images with alcohol markers and then stamped my sentiment in black ink. I mounted the card panel on a white A2 sized card base and that finished off my card. Don’t you just love how it looks?

I hope you loved this clean and simple puppy card and the video – be sure to let us know if you are inspired to create anything!

Hugs and love,
