Hey friends! It’s Jess, and I’m so excited to be back on the blog today for my last post of 2019. Now that Christmas activities are wrapping up, we’re moving full swing into Valentine’s Day preparation, so I’ve got a clean and simple Valentine’s Day card to share with you today.
To get started, I cut a piece of white cardstock down to 4×5.25. I also cut a card base down to 4.25×11. I like top folding cards best, but if you prefer a card that opens from the side, just cut your card base to 5.5×8.5.
I grabbed the amazing hanging hearts image from the December 2019 subscription box and stamped it onto my cardstock in black ink. I used my Mini MISTI for this to make sure I got a beautiful, dark impression. I love that it allows me to restamp the same image multiple times without worrying about getting blurred lines or stamping in the wrong place. So easy!
Once my hearts were stamped, I grabbed some Red Royal ink from Hero Arts and stamped out the ‘forever’ sentiment. I thought this was a perfectly clean and simple Valentine’s Day card because it can be used for so many different relationships.
I finished off my card by tying some bows out of an adorable red and white striped bakers twine. I attached these to the card panel using Lawn Fawn’s glue tube and made sure to give them enough time to dry thoroughly. I attached my card panel to the white base I cut earlier, and that finished the card!
Be sure to let us know what you think about today’s project. I love how quick and easy this clean and simple Valentine’s Day card came together. You could make one for all your loved ones this year! Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you in the new year!
Hugs and love,
