Hi everyone, it’s Jenny here!  For those of you who are subscribers (if you aren’t yet, be sure to hop on over to the store and sign up), you want to get the most out of your fun box of goodies – today I wanted to stop by and show you a couple of cards I’ve created using ‘leftovers’ from past Hedgehog Hollow boxes.

My cards today both use the Elizabeth Craft Designs Yellow and Black Microfine glitter included in the February box (Bee themed of course!), along with the fireworks stencil and sequins from the Pretty Pink Posh December box. Both are available on sale now at a heavily discounted price (I think there are a couple left of each only) and well worth it.

For both cards, I first created my own glitter paper.   I used the adhesive sheets (by Elizabeth Craft Designs, a whole pack is included in the February box) and adhered them on one side to the ECD cardstock from the February box. I then trimmed down the cardstock to two A2 size panels.  I removed the backing paper added first Yellow, then Black glitter over all of the adhesive.  I pushed it in and rubbed it with my finger burnish it.

I then pulled out the Fireworks stencil from the December kit and used Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Golden Crystal and Black Diamond over the top of it, when stenciled to the DIY Glitter paper.  I offset the stencil,  and masked off the edges to avoid getting the paste onto the areas I didn’t want it.  Once the paste had dried, I trimmed down the panels and adhered them to a white notecard from the April box with Art Impressions.

For the gold card, I die cut the Happy New Year die by Pretty Pink Posh from the December box five times from the white cardstock, then adhered the Happy die cuts stacked together,  which I . then adhered to the gold card.  I heat embossed ‘Birthday’ from the sentiment set in the June 2018 box in white onto black cardstock and mounted it onto the Happy.   Finally, I  scattered a few of the PPP Sparkling Clear sequins from the December box.

For the black card, I stamped sentiments (taken from the same sentiment set from the June 2018 box) in Nuvo Hybrid Black ink (in the April box) onto white cardstock, trimmed it out, and mounted it on foam tape. I then scattered some of the PPP Gold sequins to finish.  This makes a fun and classy Father’s Day card (right around the corner!)

I love how these turned out – I hope you do, and it gave you some ideas on combining elements from past kits.
