Hello! It’s Kari V. here with a card using stamps from the Hedgehog Hollow January 2020 Kit. Today I’m combining a few stamps together to get a geometric background. I’m going to show you just how easy it is to take three of the stamps and get a fabulous look!

First I selected three of the stamps from the set called “Given Direction,” pictured above. You can see the largest stamp in the lower right corner on the stamp set. I made a few gridlines with a pencil down the center of the card (both horizontally and vertically) so I could stamp the beginning of the design with the largest stamp first.

I stamped the two in the middle first, these lined up just right with the center of the card, and I stamped them just to the sides of the vertical line I drew. Then I began to fill in the rest of the space with that largest stamp.

Next, I took the smaller stamp that was a similar design and began stamping that just on the inside of the larger stamp. I started off using my MISTI, but quickly changed to an acrylic block to stamp because I found it to be a little faster.

I then took the smallest of the three stamps (it looks like a sunburst!) and stamped it into the middle of the other two stamps. I love the design it created!

Since I stamped with a black pigment ink, I gave it plenty of time to dry before inking on the colorful inks with a makeup brush (and one stencil brush…lol!) Find out why and how I created this card in the video below or on YouTube:

I love that sentiment that reads “Next time you think of beautiful things, don’t forget to count yourself in” so I stamped it onto a sentiment strip the same width as the card front.

I cut out the “beautiful YOU” dies in white, added a black shadow, and mounted them on white fun foam.

I hope you are enjoying this month’s Kit! If you don’t have one yet, be sure to check them out before they are all sold out! I have completely loved this kit so far. I’ll be back real soon with more inspiration!
