Hey friends, it’s Jess from A Card Day’s Work, and I’m excited to share another card with you today. I’m creating an easy constellation card with Distress Oxides. Let’s jump right into it!

I started off by doing a little bit of ink blending with Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord, Wilted Violet, and Black Soot.

I started with Shaded Lilac and then layered on Dusty Concord. Next, I added Wilted Violet, and then I finished things off with just a touch of Black Soot around the bottom edges.

I used the Dina Wakley Gloss Spray in White to create a splatter effect. Then, I took the lid off and held it over my background. I tapped the black part of the lid, and small droplets of the acrylic spray fell onto the background. I love that this spray is opaque, so it doesn’t fade into the background once it dries!

Once the panel was nice and dry, I treated it with anti-static powder and then stamped the bear image from Geo Zoo in Embossing Ink. I poured white embossing powder on top. I tapped off the excess and melted the powder with my heat tool.

I finished off the card by stamping ‘I’m here for you’ in Dusty Concord ink and mounting the panel to a white A2 sized card base. This card came together so quickly, but I think it’s so pretty!

I hope you guys loved today’s constellation card with Distress Oxides! Be sure to let us know what you think about it by leaving a comment!

Hugs and love,
