Hello everyone! It’s Kari here with some exciting Hedgehog Hollow products from the May 2020 kit! This kit is all about organizing and creativity. So today, I’m starting off with some Crafty Organization with Ink Swatches

I’m using the stamp set and the shapes stencil from the May kit to get some inks organized! I used the mini 2×2 organizing method from Jennifer McGuire with some of my own ideas, too. The stamps are the PERFECT size for these ink charts and the 2×2 squares.

I’ve made a video below for all the details, and I’m sharing some SMART TIPS I’ve learned along the way. Watch it below or in HD on YouTube:

I am in love with this method of organizing inks, with all the colors together for easy reference. I used some thin page protectors to keep the swatch charts, so it’s easy to see through them and they don’t muddle the colors.

Then I put everything together in a binder. As you can imagine, this took me some time to finish! But I think it’s all worth it.

One important thing to remember: be sure to clean the stamps in between colors! I did get some color mixing that I didn’t want. So I not only used an absorber and a dry microfiber cloth, but I also used some stamp cleaner to clean off the darker colors.

Since Altenew inks are layering inks, I kept these in their own section and stamped out a flower using all the layering inks to show what they look like when you use them together.

Check out the video for all the details…including how I used the shaped stencil for the Distress Inks. I’ll be back with more organizing ideas!

So, have you swatched your inks? Let me know in the comments.

See you real soon,
