Hi there Hollowers! It’s Jen up on the blog today. It’s a new month which means that it’s time for a new subscription box full of goodies! I love that this pet themed box can be used for both cardmaking and scrapbooking. Plus I LOVE that the box includes a Teflon bone folder!
Although the items included this month fit on a standard 4 ¼ x 5 ½ card size, I wanted to go big and so I will be creating a 6 x 6 card.
I started out by choosing two of the pieces of black and white pattern paper. I placed the heart stencil onto one of the pieces of paper and blended Distress Oxides in Candied Apple, Fired Brick and Ground Espresso through the stencil and onto the pattern paper. Next, I fussy cut the pattern paper around the stencil shape so that I was left with a heart shape and paw print.
For the sentiment I used the word Love and heat embossed that onto a piece of vellum. I also used the paw print stamp with the little heart in the palm and stamped that using Versafine Clair in the color Fallen Leaves. I then fussy cut this image out.
Next, I adhered the second piece of pattern paper to a 6 x 6 white card base. The heart and paw print stencil piece was then adhered to that along with the vellum sentiment. I then attached some foam to the back of one of the darling pieces of ephemera included in the box and adhered that to the panel as well. The little paw print was adhered to the hat of the ephemera piece.
To add a little bit of embellishment, I used Ruby Red Nuvo Crystal Drops for the heart in the paw print and also a few drops around the card.
