Hi there Hollowers! Today I am back with another project using the September Subscription Box . Today I’m using the glow in the dark vinyl and the stunning yellow opal vinyl along with the sugar skull die.
You will want to see this glow in the dark vinyl in action! Check out the You Tube Tutorial to see this card in action.
To create the card, I started out by die cutting the sugar skull die on a piece of white cardstock. I set that aside for now and then used the glow in the dark vinyl and created a square frame with dies from my stash. Next, I used the yellow opal vinyl piece and cut to size to fit within the glow in the dark frame.
Once the base of the card was completed, I die cut 2 pieces of craft foam with the sugar skull die. These two pieces of foam along with the cardstock piece that I created earlier were all adhered together, creating one sugar skull piece. Then I used a little bit of foam tape at the back center of the skull and adhered that to my card base. If you look at just the right angle you can see a little bit of a mirror reflection on the card.
That was it for this card! It was pretty quick and easy to put together but the effect is just amazing! I think the card speaks for itself and so I chose to leave off a sentiment for now. This will allow me to use the card at a later date depending on which occasion that I want to use it for.
I absolutely loved using this subscription box this month! The sugar skull die has quickly become a favorite of mine and I can see using it year after year.
Until next time, take care!
