Hello! It’s Kari today with a project showcasing the amazing capabilities of Jellyfish. Well, at least re-creating that Bioluminescence look on a card!
I love these jellyfish in the June 2019 Kit, and as I was thinking about them and how most of them can give off that light (did you know that at least 90% of jellyfish have that chemical reaction of light), I thought it would be fun to create a card with light.
It’s something a little different, and you can make a more DRAMATIC card or a more SUBTLE card depending on the colors you choose. The first one I created was the blue one, and then I decided I wanted a softer look. Which color scheme do you like better?
I have a quick video to show you how I created that light on these cards. Take a look at the video below or in HD on YouTube:
These cards came together pretty quickly: with ink blending, heat embossing, sentiments and sequins you can have an encouragement card (or two) done! You can see that I added water splatters on the blue card, but left them off on the purple card. I like the look both ways.
While I admire these sea creatures from a distance, I have had an encounter with one while snorkeling in Hawaii. In fact, too CLOSE of an encounter. Yes, I was stung….multiple times on my leg…and that is when I decided it was time to get out of the water!! Lol. I was lucky they were “mild” and only hurt for a few hours after the incident. So I like to see these jellyfish much better on a CARD. 🙂
Have you ever met up with a Jellyfish in real life?
Thanks for stopping by today! I’ll see you next week with more card projects!
