If you can print it you can custom stencil it!

Today I am showing you a system I love – the Ikon Art system.  As I mentioned above if you can print it, you can stencil it; no that isn’t their marketing line (although IMHO it should be!) it’s what I instantly thought of at midnight while I was drafting this post in my mind!  The Ikon Art system is super simple to use; you print on wither the toner or ink jet sheets (depending on your printer), expose under the light, wash, expose again and then you have the perfect custom stencil; they are mesh so you want to use a more liquid ink, screen printing or any of the liquid chalk pastes.  How easy is that to make unlimited custom stencils at home?!

This post was sponsored by Ikon Art but all projects and opinions are my own

Of course I have a video to guide you through the process; but you will see how easy it is to customize everything! I did this project on top of a canvas; but I’d love to decorate over a paint pour too! Let’s take a look at how simple the system is…

The other this to mention is that the system folds down into a box the size of the platform so it’s easy to store which for me is really important as surface space is at a premium.  I also love that the stencils can be reused as many times as you want and that grippy back means they stay in place too!

Did you see I have another Ikon Art tutorial available by clicking here? This shows you another way to use those stencils on fabric – I did a t-shirt and an apron.

If you want to find out more about the Ikon Art system you can visit their website at: ikonartstencil.com they have options for every level of crafter but I recommend the Custom Stencil Kit, that’s what I used and having used it many times now I love it! You can then just buy more print and stencil sheets as you need them.

Think of all the amazing things you can create from spirit wear, custom aprons for the holidays, screen printed onesies, and more! Also think of the money saving on being able to create your own stencils particularly if you love the chalk pastes like Chalk Couture which are pricey! Now you can make your own stencils that are unique to you at a fraction of the price!

Anyway, enough about my gushing (I really do love this gadget)! I can’t wait to see what you create, be sure to tag Ikon Art and Hedgehog Hollow in your creations; I love reposting what you create and I’m always looking out for your tags so we can feature you!
