For today’s post I wanted to used the sentiments from the All the Men in my Life Stamp set in a different way.
First, I cut down a piece of British Racing Green cardstock in half and scored it at 4.5″ to make an A2 card base. Next, I took a piece of slivery grey paper from my Scrap bin and treated with my Anti-Static tool. (I have a goal this year to use up more scraps on my cards.) Thirdly, I arranged the masculine words, some of which are: Dad, Granpa, Father, Uncle, Son, etc, on an acrylic block. Some of the words are horizontal, vertical and different reading orientations. I inked the stamps with the Color Hive Clear Ink. For my embossing powder, I chose a sliver from my stash and heat set it.
I continued this process until the whole page was covered with words, essentially creating my own patterned paper. Next, I cut the piece down to slightly smaller than 4.25″ x 5.5″ and used liquid glue to attach it to the card base. In the end, I also decided to stamp and heat embossed a sentiment on the inside from the stamp set. Finally, to finish off my card, I die cut the letters DAD from the British Racing Green cardstock and lined it up on the front of my card.
Just a few products were used to make this card and here is list of links:
