Can see how stunning the depth of the inks is, the vibrancy on black card stock is in my opinion unparalleled by anything I have used before. I have done a full tutorial for you in which I also show how the Oxide compares to the regular Distress Inks and some of the ways in which you can use the new Oxides.
I hope you enjoyed that one, I really enjoyed making it for you and playing with all the different uses. In the video you saw me make a slightly different raise panel so here’s the two side by side so you can decide which pieces you want to pop up:
Below I have linked up to Simon Says Stamp for all the products I used as well as some of the tools I showed you from Amazon; be sure to check out their great selection of other Waffle Flower Products, I know you will love them too! The Worning lipstick would be grelt for butterfly stamps
Yes it would make a beautiful butterfly with a lovely chalky finish
I think I would like the cracked pistachio because it reminds me of spring!
It’s my favorite too, I love how it reminds me of a more intense Mint Macaron
Beautiful card Alexandria! Worn Lipstick for my favorite… Thanks for the opportunity!
It is a lovely pink, one of my favorites
Cracked pistachio if I had to choose one because you could use it for so many things!! Love them all! Stunning!
Isn’t it beautiful? Something about it just draws me in!
A Beautiful card Alexandria….thanks for the chance to win this awesome giveaway!
Thank you, good luck
Lovely card, thank you for the opportunity to win this give away. Have a wonderful day
Thank you for the kind comments
I love them all but am partial to all things pink so I will say worn lipstick. I have never used the distress inks or these inks. Always something new to learn. I so love your videos.
I love anything pink too! I have a tutorial later in the week with the ‘regular’ distress inks, so stay tuned for more ways to use them
I’ve never played with oxide inks and would love to try Your card is stunning and I can’t wait to make it
I know you will love them as soon as you work with them, they are so versatile
Beautiful card! Looks like these distress oxide inks are a must have. Love the worn lipstick since I’m a pink fan, but I don’t think there is bad one in the set! Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I really recommend them, I was so pleased with all the different ways I could use them, they are something totally new
I love Faded Jeans, as I like denim. All of them are great!

Worn lipstick would be nice to win. Thanks for the tutorial.
It a lovely shade of pink, good luck!
Loved the tutorial on oxide inks. Can you get the camera closer to your work?
It’s a hard compromise to show you enough detail and get the stamps and ink in as I use them, I always publish pictures on the blog that are of high quality so you can zoom in.
I love the colored flowers on the black background.
Don’t the oxides do a great job on black?
i always like new inks thanks for the info
These are completely new in every way, well worth an investment
Ooooo, I don’t have any of those stamp pads! Excited to try them out. Congratulations:))
Oh they are fantastic! A rare completely new product and well worth trying out!
Great Tutorial, can’t wait to buy some new inks to play with,
They are so much fun, make sure you get your pre-order in before the next batch sell out!
Love your card it is stunning, I have never used oxide inks but they are now on my wish list, I love the faded jeans .
I wou dump them right up the wish list, you will never have experimented with anything like it!
Would love to win the amber pad. It’s such a versatile color. I loved the card too and learning all about the inks…
The amber is almost golden, great choice! I will have much more on these inks in an upcoming feature
Great tutorial! I never thought of painting straight from the ink pad. You can really see how vibrant the Oxide inks are when you stamp on the black cardstock. And I LOVE the Waffle Flower stamp set – now I know I can get them from SSS! It would be hard to pick out a favorite color from the 12, but I really liked the cracked paint and iced spruce. And the broken china. LOL, I told you I can’t pick just one!
It’s really hard to choose! The deal on the whole set is awesome and well worth a pre-order or a few of the individual pads, the code will pretty much pay your shipping and they will be sent out in a couple of weeks!
Though have seen the oxide pads I simply had no idea how they worked. Loved the demo. Love the wilted violet shade.
Thank you, the purple is very appealing and quite deceptive on the top; I really would recommend adding some to your ink selection
My favorite would. Be worn lipstick! Thanks for a chance to win.
It is such a lovely shade of pink, definitely in my top 3!
Have to get me some oxide inks. Love your card and congratulations on getting to work with Simon Say Stamos
Do! I know you won’t be disappointed. SSS has a pre-order available so you can get them as soon as they ship in, I had mine in the last round within a few days, plus the code will nearly pay your shipping!
Fun tutorial. Thanks for the tips. I saw a video from CHA with Tim Holtz demoing these new ink pads. I’ve been interested in getting my hands on them ever since. Thanks for the chance to get some. I love all the current colors. Let’s petition Ranger to make more colors in Oxide!
I agree! I would get a pre-order in as they are flying off the shelves…with good reason i think!
Loved the distressed oxide inks. Never worked with them .. Hope fully I’ll have a chance to , my favorite color is cracked pistachio . Love the outcome of your card.

Loved the oxide tutorial – -I always wondered what the difference was with distressed inks and regular every day inks I have been using from Stampin’ Up! I also love the background technique! I try to introduce a new technique every month at stamp club…this one looks fun and will be different every time.
It’s a great one and the distress oxides are very versatile, I will shortly have a feature on different inks and what they all mean because I know if can be confusing.

Thanks for a great video- I am going to try the techniques you described. But I would really like to know where you got the foam strips you so easily put around your frame? I was hoping to find a link below your post- came from Pinterest to YouTube to here to find out and don’t see them listed? I cut mounting tape but what you used looks so much easier. Can you share the brand and where I can find them?
Karen, the thin foam strips she’s using are from Stampin’ Up: https://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=141825
