Hi Hollowers! Welcome to our new reveal, today I am thrilled to announce to you that I am also affiliating with Elizabeth Craft Designs; Elizabeth is a talented crafter and designer so I was over the moon that she allowed me to work with her company. Of course our launch wouldn’t be complete without a giveaway, a random winner will be drawn from every comment left on this blog post until midnight EST March 7th 2017.
Today I have two completely different options for you, the first is a beautiful card that would work with so many of the sentiments that Elizabeth has available. I used the insert I cut out of the frame we made yesterday using the distress oxide inks. I then stamped the sentiment on vellum using My Favorite Things Hybrid Licorice ink pad (a new favorite), for the border I used Stampin’ Up’s smokey slate cardstock. I have linked the ink and vellum below along with the distress oxide and a watercolor paper we used yesterday, the card base is Neenah Desert Sand. Today is special as I have a bonus tutorial for you! I loved this farm greetings set as soon as I saw it, I saw so many ways to use it; in fact I would love to mount it on some burlap (mine didn’t arrive in time (sad face)).However, I have 4 different ways to stamp out this set to give you different effects, here are all 4 together. I also tried a different mounting idea to share with you using my Stampin’ Up! banners, on this card I used my distress markers in: black soot, spun sugar, broken china and worn lipstick. Each one has this beautiful tone on tone stamping using Waffle Flowers ‘coffee loves milk’ pad on Neenah desert sand. Now to show you how I made them:
In the video I used wild honey, tea dye, chipped sapphire, barn door, peeled paint and vintage photo distress markers. I just know you will all have some more beautiful ideas to use these stamps, how about cutting up and raising some elements or those of you talented painters could do some watercolor fading on the letters? Here are the links to purchase the supplies, I have used affiliate links at no additional cost to you. Don’t forget Simon Says Stamp has a $5 off code for March of ‘LEAP’:
Oh, my, what treasures you are creating! First SSS and now EC, and I wonder what is next! The best part is that you are doing it from Stow, one of my favorite places in Ohio. I grew up in Lakewood, just west of Cleveland, and am looking forward to a one-week rumble in May going from my 50th Baldwin Wallace University reunion in Berea to my husband’s 50th Kenyon College reunion in Gambier. We’ll wave as we go by!
We’ll be sure to wave back! I really think this week will get better and better, tomorrow is my absolute favourite of all the cards this week
