Hello friends! It’s Victoria and I am back with another fun card using the August 2020 Hap-Bee Subscription Box . The fun bee images and sweet encouraging stamp sentiments can be used to make adorable cards for friends and family!
For this project, I used:
- 4.25 x 5.5 inch card white card base
- 4.00 x 5.25 inch pattern paper panel using the Geo Zoo 6×6 Pattern Paper Pack
- 3.75 x 5.5 inch white card stock panel
- Busy Bee Stamp Set
- Buzzy Bee Stamp Set
- Hedge Hog Hollow Honeycomb Layering Stencil Set
- Alcohol Markers (Master Touch by Hobby Lobby)
- Dye Ink – Sauna by Catherine Pooler
- Dye Ink – Tiki Torch by Catherine Pooler
- Archival Ink – Jet Black by Ranger
To begin, I created two card panels using white card stock (3.75 x 5.5 inches) and pattern paper from the Geo Zoo 6×6 Pattern Paper Pack (4.00 x 5.25 inches).
To the white card panel, I created an ink blended and stenciled circle. To achieve this design, I used a circle die and a piece of scrap card stock to create a circle stencil. Next, I used my homemade stencil, dye inks by Catherine Pooler, and the Honeycomb Layering Stencil to ink blend a circle design at the top of a white card panel. Once the circle was complete, I stamped the sentiment “Don’t Worry Bee Happy” at the bottom of the panel with Jet Black Archival Ink by Ranger.
I stamped a bee hive and three little bees from the Busy Bee and Buzzing Bee Stamp Sets using Jet Black Archival ink. Next, I colored all of the images using alcohol markers by Master Touch (Hobby Lobby). All of the images were fussy cut and adhered to the ink blended card panel as shown using foam adhesive for added dimension. For a bit of whimsy and movement, I added hand drawn dotted lines coming from each bee!
To complete the card, I assembled both the pattern paper panel and the finished ink blended panel on a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base. This card is now ready to send to a loved one!
