Hi Krafty Friends, Jen from Katahdin Krafts, back on the blog today with this sweet card! What a delicious subscription box this month, I couldn’t wait to dive in and play with these yummy stamps.

Starting my card the first thing I did was stamp out several of the donuts from the “You Bake Me Happy!” stamp set. This set comes with several different stamps that layer together, you can make solid donuts or outlined donuts. You can use inks to form your sweet treats, or you can stamp the outlines and use a coloring medium to fill in the areas. I decided to use inks to create my donut layers, I love the different choices of icing and the detail of the sprinkles. For this weeks project I used Catherine Pooler Inks in “Icing on the Cake” (fitting), “Do-Si-Do”, and “Sand Castle”.

I stamped my images on a heavy weight cardstock, I had a ton of fun making my different layers (and got super hungry)! Then I fussy cut each donut out, with the round circle image this task was extremely easy.

Next, I cut my card panel to 5.25″ x 4″, then I used my Misti Stamping Tool to line up my sentiment from the “Sweet Sentiments” set. I love the punny “Donut Worry Be Happy”…adorable! I then randomly adhered my donuts to the card, letting some of them overhang on the edges. Then I cut the overhanging pieces and used them to fill in some of the empty spaces.

For my frame I cut a piece of cardstock 5.5″ x 4.25″ and inked the edges with “Icing on the Cake”. I then cut a card base 5.5″ x 8.5″, scored at the 4.25″ mark. I glued my card panel to the frame, then the frame to the base, this completed my A2 sized card. So scrumptious!
