Hey everyone, it’s Julianne here showing you how to create some more fun and easy backgrounds with just a pop of color. Have I told you all lately how much I love the April 2020 box? This box really takes the stress out of making masculine cards, which is something I really struggle with. For this week I decided I wanted to use the Suited and Booted stamp set (how cute is that name?)

I started off by stamping the cassette image from that stamp set a multi of times on an A2 size sheet of white card stock, changing the position of the stamp set each time which created some easy backgrounds. To add more to each background I used some other stamp sets to stamp some solid circles and heart images throughout. Once my backgrounds were complete I stamped the cassette images again with some Memento Tuxedo black ink onto some Xpress It blending card stock and did some super simple copic coloring.

Once my coloring was complete I cut out both cassette images, instead of leaving a white border around them I cut along the outline. I used foam adhesive to pop up both images and adhered them on top on my background panel covering the center stamped image so it looks as though it’s popping out of the card.

To finish off both of my cards today I added a little bit of sparkle with my wink of stella pen. Like I mentioned earlier this month, you can make some really fun and easy cards with re-purposing some of your stamps and making your own backgrounds. I hope you’ll give it a try. Make sure to check out the rest of the design team for even more great inspiration, I hope to see you next time. And as always have a wonderful day and Happy Crafting!
