Hi Hollowers!

I really wish I had paid more attention in art class 15 years ago! Try as I might my watercolor or any attempts at artistic painting are terrible.  My good friend Bibi Cameron is so amazing and I keep practising in the hope it will work one of these days.  in the meantime I have developed a few quick and easy techniques to make it look like I can make a painting better than a kindergartener! Today, I am sharing a baby card using the double dipped embossing for that splash of texture and color as well the quickest and easiest watercolor technique.  This was one of those ‘Hunni, could you tussle up a card for X at work who’s wife had a baby last night’ of course he says this at 9pm just as I sit down to knit!  I’m so pleased with the result…

I’m sure i’m not alone in my lack of watercolor technique so I wanted to share with you another one of those easy water to get a get result so here is a video tutorial to try yourself…

Super easy cutting recipe too:

Whisper White: 1/2 sheet of A4 or 8 1/2″ x 11″

So Saffron: 1/4 sheet of A4 or 8 1/2″ x 11″

Scrap of mint macaron, soft sky or pink pirouette for the scalloped circle depending on your recipient

Watercolor paper or shimmery white for painting on and your sentiment
