Hello, it’s Kari VanNoy here with a fun emboss resist technique using the September 2019 Kit! I think my favorite sentiment in the whole kit is the one that says “Feathers appear when angels are near.” Isn’t that the sweetest?
So today I have for you a card using that sentiment and a very favorite emboss resist technique.
I stamped a bunch of feathers on a card panel of Neenah solar white 80# cardstock using Versafine embossing ink. Then I heat set that with clear embossing powder. I picked two Distress Oxide colors and inked them on with my NEW favorite domed ink blending tool. I linked it below so you can take a look if you are interested. I love how fast this ink goes on and blends!
I have a quick video showing you the process and putting the rest of the card together. Watch it below or on YouTube:
The larger feather was stamped with Distress Oxide in Peacock Feathers and then given a sparkly coat of Stardust Stickles. Then I popped it up with foam tape along with the sentiment strip.
To complete the card, I added some clear gems with liquid adhesive. I hope you enjoyed this angel feather project. This September kit is just filled with feathers and peacocks and beautiful sentiments!
I’ll be back soon with even more inspiration!
