Hello again! It’s Kari and today I have a falling leaves card to share using products from the October Box. These stamps from Ink Road Stamps are beautiful and this is the first one I’ve made with the “Octobers” stamp set created exclusively for The Hedgehog Hollow.
I inked it up a white panel with Distress Oxide Inks in Peeled Paint and Iced Spruce. Then, I created a “wood” look background using a Sizzix embossing folder. I hope you can see that texture!
Then I colored the images in some bright and fall colors with Copics. For the oranges and yellows I used YR09, YR07, Y35, and Y21. For the greens I used G28, YG95, YG93 and YG91. I must say, I’m loving these color combinations right now.
I added some acetate to the back of the circle, and adhered the front panel with the circle cut out to the back inked and embossed panel. Then I attached the leaves and images. It’s neat to see the leaf in the middle appear as if it’s “floating!” (like it’s falling from the trees)
I cut a small tag and used the sentiment “ready for fall since last fall” from the same stamp set.
To finish it off, I used Nuvo Drops in White (included in the October Box) and Orange Marmalade (from my stash). A little raffia bow on the tag is so cute.
I hope you enjoyed this fall project! I had a great time creating this card with these products! For more information about the Hedgehog Hollow subscription boxes, visit here.
