Hi there,

It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and I am slowly getting back to making non-holiday cards. Today I made a birthday card for which I used the September hedgehog hollow box (that is still avalible in the shop!).

Take a look:

Frist thing that I made was the background. I took my misti and I used the solid stamp that comes in the box. Since I decided to go with a watercolor look I used the marvy uchida markers and used them on the stamp instead of the ink. I stamped it a few times and once I was happy with the amount of color that transfered to the paper, I sprayed it with water to smoothen it out.

Next, I used the heat tool and once everything was totally dry I stamped the floral outline image in the white area in the center of the watercoloring.

I used a green marker to color in the leaves, but I left the rest of the bloom as is.

Next, I used my paper trimmer to cut the paper down to be slightly smaller than my card base. I decided to put a black card stock in the background since I wanted to have a nice contrast between the watercoloring and the base.

The last thing I added was the sentiment. I heat embossed the words ‘Happy birthday’ on a piece of black card stock and then I trimmed it down in to a small banner.

I glued everything on the card base using double sided tape and some foam rectangles.

Thank you so much for joining me and see you guys soon!
