Today’s card using the Hedgehog Hollow current subscription kit is a bit of a sixties throwback. I love all the spring designs and colors in the included paper. The natural next step was to design a card that invoked some flower power.
Start with choosing a piece of kit paper to be the card front. I am using the pink flowers with what I believe are ladybugs. Next I decided the focal layer of the card would be done on white card stock. Then I needed a layer of black card stock to set off the layers. I am making a square 6 inch card with multiple layers.
Next step is to stamp the design onto the focal layer. I am making one flower using different designs on each petal. Not only are the designs different but the ink colors are all different. The flower is set in the upper corner with a bit of it running off the paper. This left plenty of room to stamp directly onto the card layer the sentiment and to add a ladybug to help tie the focal layer to the card base layer. I like how a bit of the sentiment is overlaying a petal.
All the designs and sentiments are included in this fun stamp set called Pretty Petals.
The final step is to assemble the pieces and add a bit of bling. I glued all layers and a few matching sequins to complete the card.
I think this kit allows for anyone’s imagination to create many variations of springtime cards full of beauty and love.
