Hello! It’s Kari and today I have a fun Faux Shaker card using the December box. I also added a couple foxes from Pretty Pink Posh Woodland Critters set.
For this card, I first used some Nuvo Glitter Paste in Moonstone with the fireworks stencil. That Moonstone glitter paste is iridescent and so beautiful…like an opal! You can still see through a bit to the deep purple paper and it’s quite a stunning effect. I set that aside to dry.
Second, I colored up two of the foxes from the Woodland Critters set by Pretty Pink Posh. They are looking up at those fireworks in awe! (The party hat is from the December box.)
Third, I heat embossed the Happy New Year on embossable plastic for this card because I wanted to see through to the beautiful fireworks on the background!
Fourth, I cut out a frame and attached it to the clear plastic that I white heat embossed.
Then I attached it all to the card using Scor-Tape. The silver fox is popped up with some 3M foam tape for extra dimension.
I attached some of the Pretty Pink Posh sequins from the box right on top of the plastic.
You could easily turn this into a real shaker card, however, today I wanted those fireworks to be the star. I hope this project inspired you to try a faux shaker of your own…they are so fun to make!
Wishing you a very Happy New Year!
