Hello, it’s Kari here today with a Frog Valentine! My sister loves frogs, so I thought this little frog in the January Hedgehog Hollow Kit would be perfect for a card. Today I’m making a frog Valentine and a bonus card, too!
Frog Valentine
I started off stamping that cute frog along with the love sentiment from the stamp set using Eclipse black ink. Then, I stenciled that cute heart on top using Yellowstone ink, trying to avoid that frog image.
Next, I colored in the frog using Copic markers in shades of green. He is so cute!
I used the lightest green to draw around each of the stenciled hearts to give it more dimension.
Then I took that small envelope image and stamped it around the background with Flamingo ink. I love that little image. To make it stand out even more, I added some pink marker underneath the envelope flap. Then I added some grey marker as a shadow on each of the envelopes and underneath the love sentiment.
I stamped one extra envelope and colored it pink…then popped it up with foam tape to look like that frog was holding a love letter.
That frog needed some spots…and his spots just happen to be in the shape of HEARTS! Lol. (I thought it was appropriate) I used a darker green marker to draw on those heart spots.
I added some pink Scrunchie cardstock as the mat around the panel. Then I added glossy accents to the eyes and the hot pink envelope the frog is holding.
Bonus Card
I loved this stencil and the images from the kit so much that I had to make another card. This time I used some different colors and images.
Such cute images and I can see a lot of possibilities with this kit! I hope you enjoyed these projects today.
