Hi there! Are you ready to make some fun summer cards? If so, I’ve got two ideas for you today using the ‘Grillin and Chillin’ August Hedgehog Hollow box.

Card 1

Step 1

Stamp the watermelon image from the Grillin and Chillin stamp set onto a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock using waterproof ink like Versafine black. Stamp the image several times.

Step 2

Using a Red Carmine Zig Brushmarker, swipe the top of the watermelon piece. Next, using a Pink brushmarker, swipe a line of color right below the red. Next, blend the colors together with a slightly damp waterbrush. Then using the waterbrush, bring the color down to the rind of the watermelon.

Step 3

Cut a piece of the black checkerboard pattern paper from the box with a scalloped edge die. Position the pattern paper over a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ piece of white cardstock. Place both pieces in a stamping platform. Using the ant stamp, stamp along the edge of the scalloped die cut onto the white carstock. Stamp the sentiment from the 4 x 6 stamp set in the box. Cover stamped images with clear embossing powder and heat set.

Step 4

Add foam to the back of the pattern paper and adhere to the white cardstock.

Step 5

Add embellishments.

Card 2

Step 1

Position a piece of the red checkerboard pattern paper onto a white 4 ¼ x 5 ½ card panel so that it looks like a picnic blanket. Adhere.

Step 2

Arrange ephemera from subscription box over the pattern paper. Adhere.

Step 3

Ink up sentiment from the 4 x 6 stamp set and stamp onto a red piece of cardstock. Add white embossing powder and heat set.

Step 4

Add embellishments.

I hope you create something today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
