Hello, Kari here today with some great geometric background ideas for the Geo Zoo stamps. While last week I posted a Masculine Geometric card, today’s cards definitely have a more feminine vibe.

I first took an isosceles triangle stamp and stamped two of them together to form a square shape. I made a total of 9 squares per background in a variety of colors to create an interesting geometric background.

Then, I stamped the Geo Zoo animals: a bunny and a butterfly with Versafine Onyx black ink. I watercolored each triangle in the animals with the same varying colors of ink that I used on the backgrounds.

I added a bit of colored pencil to accent some of the colors, and some green gemstones to the body of the butterfly. The sentiment is stamped in Fiesta Blue ink to match. I adhered the butterfly with foam tape to give it dimension.

I stamped a second bunny on black cardstock, then fussy cut it to put behind the watercolored geo bunny for a shadow. This makes it pop right off the background!

I used the large Kind stamp and added the sub-sentiment onto yellow cardstock: One word can change someone’s entire day. I popped up the sentiment with foam tape and finished it off with some sparkling clear sequins.

I hope this inspired you to try some colorful geometric backgrounds for your Geo Zoo stamps! You can use any shape you want for this technique. If you do give it a try, please tag us on instagram or post in the Facebook Group to share your results!

See you next time,
