Hello, it’s Kari and today I was inspired to make some Gingerbread Hot Chocolate cards. Have you ever had gingerbread flavor in your Hot Chocolate? I have not had the chance to try it, but I understand it is kind of popular this time of year!

So today, my cards are “gingerbread hot cocoa cards” using the stamp sets from the November Hedgehog Hollow box.

Do you prefer Whipped Cream OR Marshmallows on your hot chocolate?

This first card is made with whipped cream. Lol.

I cut a coffee cup (and the whipped cream) from my Silhouette machine. Then I added stamps from the November box to decorate the cup… including that sentiment and the sweet swirl image. I inked the edges of the card with Distress Ink in the color Iced Spruce.

I colored up the peppermint sticks with red and green this time, and added a white stripe with a white gel pen. For the gingerbread man, I added some liquid applique as “frosting.” I added a bit of the liquid applique, then heated it with my heat gun to make it puffy. This is fun to use, but somewhat unpredictable at times. A little goes a long way!

The “marshmallows” in this second cup are actually the GUMDROPS from the stamp set that I turned upside down! They make great marshmallows, too! I colored up the peppermint sticks in red and white to decorate the front of this red mug.

I popped all the images up using 3M foam tape for dimension and interest, but they are still flat enough for mailing. This background paper is from the Limited Edition Christmas box, too. (Love those papers!)
