Hi there Hollowers! It’s Jen and I’m happy to be up on the blog today with a new card!
The card that I created today is a minute rice card, seriously without drying time, this card took about 5 minutes! With the help of the stencils and ephemera included in February’s subscription box, a 5-minute card is easily achieved.
I started out with a piece of 4 ¼ x 5 ½ piece of Hammermill cardstock. Next, I grabbed the bones and paws stencil as well as Versafine Clair ink in both Nocturne and Verdant. I taped down the stencil and then used finger daubers to carefully apply the ink through the stencil. The paws were inked up in Nocturne and the bones in Verdant.
Before removing the stencil, I applied Nuvo Moonstone glitter paste through the stencil using a craft knife. I removed the stencil and immediately cleaned the stencil and the craft knife. Your stencil won’t be ruined if you don’t clean it right away BUT it is way easier to clean when it’s still wet.
I let the paste dry for about an hour before moving on to adhering the cute dog ephemera with the green hat. I applied some foam to the back of this and adhered the piece to the card base, over the stenciled background.
I added a bit of green splatter to the card to fill in some of the white space and then chose a Scrapbook.com stamp set called Pet Sympathy for the sentiment.. This was stamped in Versafine Black onto a white piece of cardstock and then adhered.
To finish the card off, I added several green hearts from my stash. Has this kit stolen your heart yet? I know that it has mine!
