Hi there Hollowers! Can you believe we are heading out of October already! I’m still using the October Subscription Box though. Today, I am having a little bit of fun using the Kaleidoscope Powder, Nebula powder that comes in the October box.
Let’s get started!
The first thing that I did was to grab a piece of Hammermill cardstock cut at 4 ¼ x 5 ½. I then picked out a Hedgehog Hollow snowflake stencil from my stash and taped it to the cardstock. Using the ColorHive Embossing Ink Pad in the kit, I inked up the cardstock through the stencil.
Now comes the sort of fun, sort of scary part! You know when you have a new supply that’s unlike any other supply you’ve ever used and you aren’t really sure what’s going to happen? This is how I felt using the Kaleidoscope Powder. I did it though, and using the brush in the kit pounced the powder onto the embossing ink. The luminescence of the powder is so pretty! I will admit though, I do need to practice a bit more before I am confident in my Kaleidoscope Powder prowess!
After applying the Kaleidoscope Powder I set it using some fixative spray. I then created a slim panel and stamped and silver embossed the Merry Christmas sentiment and presents from the stamp set included in the box. I created another slim panel slightly bigger than the first and created a fancy border with my dies. That panel was then ink up with the ColorHive ink and more of the fun Kaleidoscope powder was used. Both panels were then adhered together.
To top it off, I adhered all of my pieces to a side fold 4 ¼ x 5 ½ white card base and added some sequins. That was it, one more Christmas card done! I’m way ahead of myself this year.
Until next week, take care!
