Hi Hollowers!

Thank you for your out pouring of love for Maddi and the struggles she is facing, your thoughts and messages really do mean so much.  If you were watching today’s facebook live you will have heard me discussing where to put our live videos and all the techniques that are in them; whilst facebook is a great platform, it is very difficult to index them in such a way that you can find them later when you want to give a technique a try.  Therefore, I am piloting YouTube live as well, as of right now I can’t find a way to stream both sites together, so for now we will continue with daily Facebook lives at 11.30am EST and if I am showing a technique I think you will want to keep a note of we will hop on over to YouTube for that too, bare with us while we work out the best system to use, we would also love to know which platform you prefer, so leave us a comment with your thoughts.

I also announced we have a mega giveaway coming up, it will be open internationally and I know you will love the prize! The giveaway will launch when we have 2000 YouTube and 2000 Facebook followers, I can’t believe how close we are, it has surpassed all my expectations.  So, thank you, without you we wouldn’t be here.

Today we did our first tutorial based YouTube live (actually the second, but the first of this new idea!),  the subject was on Concord & 9th’s new turnabout stamps, they are amazing, you can stamp them once, twice, three or four times, depending on what effect you are looking for, now I know some of you were dubious on the color choice but keep with it, I promise they work!  The stamps are designed to work with the Misti and I watched lots of videos including the one from My Sweet Petunia where I took inspiration for the laminated panel.  Here is the video we filmed…

Now for a picture of the card I promised I would make with that piece…

To mount it up I trimmed it down using the guide I have shown you before on my trimmer, I used the new My Favorite Things rectangle frames to create the black frame and I stamped the Concord & 9th sentiment from the Mandala set on the card base, finally I matted it on black before using foam pads on white Neenah card base.  Here is a supply list…

The key in my laminated piece it is 6 inches square, with a diagonal cross, I add the arrows you see in the video just to help me while I stamp.  Laminating it means that its easy to clean off and I can use it for all my turnabouts, the finished laminated size is a touch over 6 1/4″ square.  You can enlarge the image below or create your own just as I did…

I hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial, I love these stamp so much but they were quite tedious until I worked this out with the help of combining a few tutorials and some creativity!  If you are look for the teflon mat video click here.

Happy Stamping!
