Hi Krafty Friends, I’m excited to be back on the blog today! This is my second card with the October Subscription Box. I paired a stamp from the “Around Winter” with a Snowman from Catherine Pooler’s “Build A Snowman” stamps. The mittens in this set seemed like a perfect fit for the Subscription Box!

My card panel size is 5″ x 3.75″, and you can see the progression of my masking in this series.

I wanted to try my hand at some masking this week, and thought that it would be a fun challenge to mask out the circular stamp. I stamped the image on a sheet of masking paper, then I cut away the mittens. I inked up the mittens with Altenew’s Rose Quartz, and used my Misti to position it over the mask. I did this for the other two layers as well, always adding the previous layers mask back on. I love the results!

I then used the “Build a Snowman” stamps and built a couple of cute snowmen, and then cut all the pieces out with my Scan ‘N Cut. Next, I cut a frame 5.25″ x 4″ and inked the edges with Altenew’s Glacier Coves. I cut my card base to 5.5″ x 4.25″ and inked the edges with Rose Quartz, to match the mittens.

I then used a few of the snowflakes from the Snowman set to add some color to my background.

For my snowmen I added a few shadows with Copic CO marker, and the one with a little mouth was colored with R02.

I added my sentiment to the center of my circle of mittens with Lavender Fields ink, and pieced together my snowman.

I also added a cute snowman to the inside of my card, for an extra surprise to the recipient.

This was such a fun and sweet card to make! There are endless possibilities with the Subscription Box contents! Make sure you grab one before they are gone! Thanks so much for visiting with me today, I look forward to seeing you again next week! Happy Krafting!
