Hi there crafty friends! Jen S here and today I’m using having some fun with the layering ice cream cone stencil that came in September’s box.

When I think of ice cream and summer, images of orange, green and pink sherbert always come to mind. So I thought I would create those colors of ice cream cones! I started by blending Distress Oxide Antique Linen using the cone layering stencil. Next using the ice cream stencil, I added Tiki Torch, Lime Ricky and Party Dress from the Catherine Pooler line. I also added Distress Ink in Salvaged Patina. I left the stencil in place and applied Nuvo Moonstone paste over the ice cream tops to add some sparkle.

While waiting for the past to dry, I created another card panel by swiping the same ice cream colors used above over a piece of cardstock. This will be the background for my ice cream cones. Since the entire panel will not be seen I used this same panel to die cut a Stitched Scalloped Circle.

To clean up the white space in the background, confetti, or ice cream toppers were added to the ice cream cone panel using different colors of glitter pens.

After the paste has dried, ¼ inch is trimmed from the ice cream cone panel. This panel is then adhered to the ink swiped background. The scalloped circles are adhered to the center of the ice cream cone panel.

To complete the card, Twinkling Pink foil was used with a die cut sentiment from the Birthday Sentiments ephemera.

I hope you create something today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
