Hello, everyone! It’s Kari here with some Ink Blending Tags made easy with the May Hedgehog Hollow Kit. It’s so nice to have a reference of ink blended backgrounds to get your creativity flowing. Today, I’ve taken some inspiration from home decor & crafty friends, and some random color suggestions and turned them into tags of inspiration!

I used the quiet, unassuming line stamp in the lower left corner of the stamp set (May 2020 Kit) to create a professional look to these tags. These ink blended backgrounds are perfect for reference for when you need a new idea in color.

I love how these turned out. I think my very favorite part was asking my family members for random color choices, and then I attemped to ink blend with them! Lol. Not all of them were obvious choices, but I made it WORK!

Check out the video below, or in HD on YouTube to find out the SECRET I share to get (almost) any ink blend to work:

I also compare the differences between Oxide and Distress ink. It is an interesting comparison.

Here’s the ink colors I used on these samples (Left to right):
1) Distress Ink: Mermaid Lagoon & Twisted Citron
Distress Oxide: Peacock Feathers & Twisted Citron
2) Distress Ink: Antique Linen, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn
Distress Oxide: Antique Linen, Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover
3) Distress Ink: Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot
Distress Oxide: Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover, Peacock Feathers, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot
4) Distress Ink: Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac, Iced Spruce, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire
Distress Oxide: Spun Sugar, Milled Lavender, Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire
5) Distress Ink: Shaded Lilac, Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, Spiced Marmalade
Distress Oxide: Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold
6) Distress Ink: Blueprint Sketch, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Antique Linen, Peeled Paint
Distress Oxide: Salty Ocean, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Antique Linen, Peeled Paint

I find color to be inspiring anyway, but when you are in a slump…try some color blending to give you a lift.

Here’s one of my inked backgrounds that I’m using for this floral card. I haven’t attached the sentiment yet because I can’t decide if I should finish this card off in a vertical or landscape direction. Please tell me what you think! Comment below to help me decide!

I hope you enjoyed this special edition May kit! I believe it’s already sold out, it has been so popular. I have enjoyed it so much! See you next time,
